ART INSPIRATION: PANDORA Tips for the best wall collage ever! Being effortlessly classy and super budget-friendly, wall collages are one of the most popular room decor trends. It is one of the best ways to showcase your artwork and photos, and at the same time cover those ugly, bare walls. Here are 5 tips to make the best wall collage ever: Make sure all your photos/art are similar sizes You don’t want some bits huge and others tiny, sometimes it works, yes, but usually it just looks out of place and well...weird. Use blu-tack or double-sided tape This is so that your photos/art doesn’t get damaged-trust me I speak from experience Don’t make everything too compact (Just incase you change your mind later and you don’t have to tear the whole thing down, and that’s just a waste of time and it’s completely pointless. Have a general idea about what you want it to look like You know the plan before you start things? Well, this is exactly the same Build a mental picture in your head and work with that. It won’t be perfect-but that’s okay, keep trying! Be creative The most beautiful things that happen in our life are usually the ones we don’t plan. Be spontaneous Lots of love, Pandora KNOW IT ALL: DIVINUS hey there, i’m divinus and this is the first edition of know it all! wait why do i sound like some tacky game show host? *turns around* *game show music plays* wElcOmE tO kNoW iT aLl. okay i’ll stop now. RIGHT AFTER THIS SHORT BREAK, AHAHAH! anyways, for the first season i’m going to be asking myself a somewhat philosophical question and... answering it. yeah nothing mind blowing. i’m going to choose questions that don’t necessarily have a right or wrong, a correct and incorrect. i would say SiT bAcK aNd EnJoY fOlKs but BeFoRe ThAt A bIg ThAnkS tO oUr SpOnSoR tHe LoCaL wEiRd KidS Carpe Diem, Divinus MURDERS, MYSTERIES, AND HISTORY: APRIL Article is currently being changed. Sincerely, April DECORUM: ESTRELLA Aesthetic Relating to the enjoyment of study of beauty, or showing great beauty. Aesthetics cover the judgment and experiences we come across. It is used to appreciate the beauty of art, and people’s appreciation towards alluring things. Aesthetics consider how art affects us. Like when we listen to music, watch plays, read poetry, or observe a painting. Aesthetics usually elicit serenity and bliss on an emotional level. You can make your room aesthetically pleasing by maintaining a minimalist style. Aesthetic decor and artwork can bring out the finest features and spice up your interior. Aesthetics include touch, so throwing in a bunch of blankets and pillows can keep the room cozy and aesthetically pleasing. Love, Estrella ENVIRONMENTALISM: SUMMER “Never refuse to reuse”, recycling is reusing one thing for a different purpose; which is a simple magical thing. So why don't we do it more often? If we payed attention to our lifestyle we can see how we waste 31 billion pounds of food annually, and only 30% of it is being recycled. There are so many manageable ways we can recycle and stop wasting. We have to remember we only have 1 Earth, if we keep going on like this we will need another one just to contain the waste. Try remembering that by doing one small thing continuously we can make an impact. The first way we can recycle is by composting. Composting not only gives soil more value but it can actually slow climate change. Many people think composting is hard and gruelling work, but in reality it's the opposite. You can compost just by having a bin or bucket(something with a lid) and adding your fruit and vegetable scraps to it. It can take anytime between 2 months to 5 months. You see it's ready when it starts to become brown in the bottom. Finally you can take it and use it to nourish your plants. You could turn food waste into compost by using this method. Another way we can recycle with ease is by donating. This is uncomplicated: one person's trash is another's treasure. Old books to you might look like an over the hill worthless things. Then give it away so it could be beneficial to someone else. You can give back to your local charity or someone you know personally. “Look deep into nature and then you will understand better”. Reusable bags, we hear it all the time but do we really use it? (or shall I say reuse it? okay editor April is leaving please edit this out). This is effortless as well, instead of always getting a plastic bag at the store you can bring your own reusable bag. You can keep them in your car or purse so you won't have to worry about forgetting them. 160,000 plastic bags are used every second, if you think about it, it sounds ridiculous. So every time you use a reusable bag you need to remember you are making a difference. “Anybody can make a difference and be the voice for the voiceless”, remember by trying you also influence not just yourself but the people around you. Recycling turn into a hobby, so it can bring you happiness. Try recycling and do your part to save the environment, one step at a time. Love, Summer HUMAN TENDENCIES AND LIFE: SPECTRE Dealing with Depression Do you ever find yourself thinking, what happened? ‘How did everything I’d valued just fall to dust’ and now you just can’t let go of that void of numbness surrounding you; always haunting you. While you vaguely recall the days. When you once had hope in your eyes, a real smile on your face. And one day it just came tumbling down, now you live in a nightmare; a never-ending one at that, the person you once were is gone. Hope is replaced with nothingness. The smile once real became fake and the world you thought was stable had collapsed. What you don’t realise is that you’ve been living in the past wondering: Why is it always there? What you could’ve changed? How you could’ve changed it? The truth is, you have to move on, leave the past behind; because what's over can’t be changed. But you can still wake up, there’s still time to force yourself up and look around with a little bit of that lost hope that there's got to be something meaningful, something worth staying awake, something to hold onto. You don’t have to always feel bad about yourself being guilty for something that isn’t your fault. You don’t have to cry yourself to sleep every night. You don’t have to feel helpless. You don’t have to feel all alone in a room full of people. You don’t have to be swallowed whole and lose yourself entirely. All you need is someone to listen to you, to rant to, to vent out exactly how you’re feeling and I’m here for you if you ever need anyone. Love, Spectre Sorry about the late post, we were facing some er... difficulties. That was our first official edition, it spent weeks in the making. • Coffee: Casual Edition 1

To access in PDF format: ALL ABOUT COFFEE We're publishing our first casual edition! We are ecstatic (well some of us) to announce the first topic will be coffee. In this edition our writers will cover everything about coffee that you didn't need, to know. We hope you like it! PANDORA If you’re one of those coffee lovers looking for room decor that sings your personality, you should definitely try your hand at coffee painting! The delicious brown is so soothing and the best part is it smells amazing. Like watercolor or any heavy kind of painting, the only setback is that you need to use a special thick paper so that it doesn’t bleed through. You can get this paper on amazon or at your local art store so no need to fear! If you’re not sure what to paint then look at some ideas on Pinterest! Lots of love, Pandora DIVINUS Coffee. The awe-inspiring liquid that took some souls with just a sniff. While it caused others to drown. For you peasants who didn't understand, what I said was 'Some people like coffee. Others don't.' Some meaning your dear author, Divinus, of course. Coffee has always been a constant factor in my life. Maybe it's because I was warned that it was far from healthy, or perhaps it was the fact that not one of my peers, whom I had met, drank coffee. It was absurd. Sure, they might idolize it. But they never really drank coffee And god no, don't get me started on the whole 'Coffee Rush' ideology. I'm not really sure if it's just me but, I've never felt any adrenaline rush or even the slightest bit of energy from the substance. Am I making my coffee wrong or something, please let me know since it has never made me feel energetic in the mornings? Coffee... just tastes wistful. Like that cold morning where you just wanted to stay in bed, or when you needed to submit an assignment and were doing it in the class before. Like nostalgia. The good kind. Look what I'm trying to say is, if y'all don't like coffee I will hunt you down and threaten you (cutely) and run you over with my daisy rimmed Beatle uwu. That was a joke. Made for comedic purposes. I think. Carpe diem, Divinus APRIL I love coffee. But for me, the heavenly, yet addictive, liquid can only be perfected by adding all the sugar you can possibly find. The other people who love coffee, the normal ones. might like it in many different ways; especially from mismatched places. But all the cups of coffee still originated from one particularly special plant. As much as I like my own methods of making coffee, and possibly risking diabetes,I’m quite curious to see the varying coffees drank across the Earth. With that being written here are three unique ways coffee is made around the world. Kaffeost Coffee- Finland: Hot coffee with cheese curds is drank in Finland. That might be the strangest food combination I’ve heard, but to each their own. Café Touba- Senegal: Café Touba is a style of coffee popular in Senegal. The beverage is made with Guinea pepper and sometimes with cloves. The spices are mixed in with the coffee beans and then roasted so it must be flavorful. Türk kahvesi (Turkish Coffee)- Turkey: Turkish coffee is a type of coffee made using finely ground coffee beans without filtering. Meaning they drink it with the grounds. Those were interesting but I think I'd rather stick to my sugary kind of coffee. Oh and, if you dare disagree that tea is better than coffee I'll join Divinus in running you over, cutely. Sincerely, April ESTRELLA Coffee is a necessity, a need, and a habit. Many can’t start their day without a cup of coffee or they’ll feel and look like the walking dead. Once you’ve been having coffee for a while its becomes an addiction. With addiction comes positive and negative impacts. People tend to drink coffee because it calms them down, coffee has become more than just a source of caffeine. It improves your alertness, working memory and leads to a healthy mind. While taken in high doses it can mess with your sleep schedule (if you have one unlike me), increase nervousness and restlessness, and increases blood pressure. So don’t overdose on your intake of coffee. When you ask a person who drinks tea to write about coffee this is what you get I suppose. Love, Estrella SUMMER “A coffee a day keeps the grumpy away”, coffee it's just a drink made from roasted coffee beans but how does it have more that 20 million people drinking coffee everyday?. Coffee contains caffeine that tends to give us more energy as well as giving us better physical performance . But you can't really hate coffee cause it has nearly 25 million farmers depending on it for their economic livelihood. This prodigious drink has many variations, the most expensive type of coffee is black ivory which can cost $1000-$1500 per pound. That is a lot of money for a pound of coffee beans, but some people wont think twice before purchasing this because coffee has become a staple. Here’s a cheesy joke on coffee(just so this isn't boring): Why was the man happy when he bought himself a top high range coffee maker online? Because it had a lot of perks in it! Love, Summer SPECTRE Ever had those days when you wake up and forget your morning coffee, go right about with your day. And God! I bet you felt so damn drowsy the entire time that you never got any work done and almost fell asleep right there at least 5 times. Ending up as a cranky, whiny, hot headed mess. Well guess what? It ain't just you. We all have our moments. But ever wonder how that oh so helpful and miraculous elixir was made? I'm just gonna tell you. The two most important types of coffee grown (and yes coffee does in fact grow on trees) are Robusta and Arabica there is another type called Liberica which makes up a fairly small percentage. Now of course you can’t just pick leaves from the plant and instantly brew it to make coffee (if only it were that easy) it's a process. First the plant grows cherries and these cherries contain seeds, the coffee bean. The cherries are spread out in the sun on large concrete or brick patios this is done to remove the thick outer layer that surrounds the coffee bean. At this point you’ll probably be left with green seeds, and yes they might not look like much now but just you wait after a series of roasting and grinding you’ll be left with something of true excellency. When the bean is roasted the aroma and that characteristic coffee edge is formed, a very flavorful complexion I might add. Along with the signature brown tint that makes coffee coffee, because let's be real here no one would be drinking coffee if it looked all green like a watered down version of kale smoothie That's mostly what consists in the production of coffee. In most cases they leave it at that and the beans are packaged and sold but the beans can’t be infused into a liquid directly. They are ground first, this takes place in you guessed it! A coffee grinder. However the grind size isn't always the same it varies depending on the type of coffee for intended use (espresso machine, filter brew, instant coffee) So to sum up that's how we get our coffee folks and well next time you go to Starbucks or your local hub for coffee think of how much pain you’ve put that soul coffee bean through. Or just forget the fact you wrote an entire article about it and go back to drinking tea like the tea loving fool you are. Yours truly, Spectre Hopefully that satisfied your coffee-filled curiosity. That was our first casual edition, the topic chosen by the one and only online wheel spin thing. If you have any feedback, email us, or comment on this post<3. We'd love to know what you think and improve! Love, We Who Shall Not Be Named
